Grats on your "brilliant" mind Dr. Mantis. lol. But yea there are actually several training rods and some are better than others. Respectively, the more expensive ones or harder to find ones earn you a better success rate in taming.

i knows but i was just sateing the rod that looked the most like the rod in the Icon....th rod in the Icon had a leaf looking thing so i was just saying

and also i strongly belive that the rod has no effect on the success rate of taming its the rank of the skill Your CP and the monsters CP that are part of the equation nothing to do with the Rod....thats obvious...your wrong.

Wrong hidy the bird is the symbol for Animal training and it is required for G7 and G8 Mainstreams. the twig under the bird is the Courcle Training Rod...
the expansion come out this month for sure. the server updates 23rd so i assume 7/23/09 G7 and portions of G8 will be relesed. the symbol is no longer a mystery it is definately G7 symbol
